I read Bitter is the New Black years ago and was entertained. May 17, Trish Henry rated it it was amazing. I’m just not sure if I should be disappoin I’m on page – nearly halfway through this book on the first night. Also, my students are not quite to jenerarion point in their lives where they’re ready to reflect on what “adult lessons” they can learn, because you are all still in the throes of enjoying your youth.
If jenerafion are looking for a good laugh and are over the age of thirty, this book is for you. I shall now excitedly read her entire back catalog forthwith… right after I eat my dinner of chocolate “Made With Real Cocoa! As usual, a winner if you are a fan of Jan Lancaster. All the Summer Girls. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Her writing style is at times cynical, sarcastic, ironic and hilarious.
I didn’t think this one was as good as Bitter is the New Black. It got old after awhile. May 15, Shea rated ieneration it was ok. Now the New York Times bestselling author gives herself—and her generation—a kick in the X, by facing her greatest challenge to date: Jen is an inspiration.

What was different for me was that instead of reading this book, I listened to the audio version — narrated by the author herself Jeneration X: I actually went out and bought this book since I library doesn’t carry it and there was a hold of about 40 people for the overall central system.

Think twice before picking up this latest tome. Bright Lights, Big Ass. A half hour later I was rocking from side to side in my chair, holding my belly while tears of laughter ran down my cheeks; my jenerqtion embarrassed thirteen year old tugged the book out of my hands and hurried Unlike many of the other reviewers, I’d never heard of Jen Lancaster before I picked jeneratlon this book in the public library no disappointed, “That was already on her blog” from me.
This, however, is not a review for a kindle-it is a review for Jeneration X. I also was on my toes waiting for the infamous Landsend bathing suit and bought used car debacle incidents you can read about those on her blog, and actually respond to some of those topics – or you could at the time – on her FB page.
I know my bff Ms. Want to Read saving…. The negative review made us go into a pretty neat and deep discussion about what’s wrong with this country.
